You can use sugar substitutes like granulated monk fruit, erythritol, or a sugar-free sweetened soda.

The homemade lemon vodka has a bright, tart taste that's excellent as a sipper, shot, or served on the rocks. For decades, Absolut Citron has played a major part not only for “ Cosmo” fans around the world, but for the evolution of mixology as a whole. Vodka's an excellent liquor for infusions because it has a neutral taste that lets the chosen flavor—in this case, the tartness of lemon peels—shine. Sometimes—as in the case of this pear cobbler cocktail—it's desirable and the boozy fruit can make a tasty treat.

To soften your homemade 80-proof citrus vodka to this strength, make a light simple syrup using two parts water and one part sugar and add 5 ounces or so (about 2/3 cup) to the strained vodka until it reaches your desired taste. These lemon vodka cocktails are the refreshing addition to your vacation that you didn’t know you needed. If you choose to use a high-proof vodka (100 proof is most common), the vodka will obviously be stronger and the extra alcohol will intensify the lemon flavor, so you might want to reduce the infusion time.

With a drizzle of sugar syrup, a glug of vodka, and a sprig of rosemary, you’ve achieved perfection. The lockdown rules are seeing a teeny-weeny relaxed, but the covid numbers are still not under control, so I rather cushion up at home.

Honestly, we are not entirely sure, but nevertheless very happy to have Absolut Citron in the limelight of the flavored vodka scene. I highly, HIGHLY recommend using fresh lemon juice for optimum flavor, but in a pinch you could use 2 tbsp of bottled lemon juice instead!

Since I like my cocktails a little bit sparkly, I’ve combined most of the same ingredients for my cocktail, with some soda water! It takes just a few minutes to prepare, and the one-week infusion is generally hands-off—you just need to shake the infusion jar and test the flavor.

To make a simple syrup, combine equal parts sugar and water and simmer in a small saucepan on the stove until the sugar is dissolved. Organic fruits are preferred because the fruit doesn't have a waxy peel and is not treated with chemicals while growing in the grove. Everything’s better when it’s by the pitcher, especially when it’s this strawberry lemonade sangria! Vodka, lemon juice, and club soda make for a refreshing start, but you can take your cocktail to the next level with some mint simple syrup.
