About this deal

The Ordinary Serum Foundations sold in the European Union offer an SPF 15 claim. This protection is achieved without the use of chemical sunscreens and only through physical protection from Titanium Dioxide. Additionally, no nano-particles are used to achieve this sun protection. These attributes are unique in foundations because it is exceptionally difficult to create a natural, lightweight look and consistent shades when using only non-nano forms of Titanium Dioxide for sun protection without any chemical sunscreen agents. The pigments used in this format are treated for a rich, highly-saturated effect. These pigments are suspended in our proprietary spreadability system that allows pigments to look natural on the skin, resist collecting within fine lines and stay on for longer. Swatches: The Ordinary Coverage Foundation 2.0 YG // Clinique Even Better Foundation in #25 Buff // MAC Studio Fix Fluid Foundation in NC25

Would I recommend this? Only for work/day to day wear and for those with relatively clear normal (skin type) skin. The pigments used in these formulations are treated for a rich, highly-saturated effect. These pigments are suspended in the proprietary spreadability system that allows pigments to look natural on the skin, resist collecting within fine lines and stay on for longer. The foundations offer a semi-matte finish and are compatible with most primers and are designed to work exceptionally well with the primers offering from The Ordinary. In the end I bought 2.0 YG. I’m not sure why I chose this shade tbh because I wouldn’t necessarily count myself as yellow or golden. When I got home I realised that the foundation is actually a tiny bit too much on the yellow side for me.I could still make it work though so I continued to wear it. Will this shade suit me? These foundations offer moderate coverage that looks natural with a very lightweight serum feel. The Ordinary Coverage foundation has a higher percentage of pigment for a more mattified, and higher coverage finish. It has a semi-matte finish which is the perfect kind. I do like the light weight consistency too but my skin wasn’t ready for a medium cover foundation just yet. Is it long lasting? I also found that it ended up clinging a little bit to any dry areas and kind of just sitting on top of my skin. For someone with combination skin, this foundation isn’t one I would recommend to you. Is it worth buying?

This shade would suit someone who is between NC25-NC30 in MAC studio fix fluid. It is true to it’s shade in that it does have serious yellow-golden undertones. I’ve swatched it (photos below) once as a general swatch but also on the right over blue veins so you can see the coverage. I personally didn’t think that this foundation was full coverage. It is pigmented but it just doesn’t cover marks and blemishes really well. If you have relatively clear skin though, this would be perfect for you. The coverage foundation by The Ordinary has had a lot of hype around it. Full coverage for half of the price? How dare they?? Could it be as good as other high end brands? Time for me to find out! Add this foundation to your everyday look. Offering a smooth finish, this lightweight, non-oily cream texture is perfect for giving you enough coverage without looking heavy. Ingredients: Thoughts: Normally I spritz my favorite face mist on a beauty blender and then just apply concealer on the parts of my face that need some coverage, but this foundation worked as well as my normal concealer. My skin looked more even without looking unnatural, and with so many options it was super easy to find a shade that worked for me. That's kind of huge. Throughout the day it wore off a little, but I still felt good in my skin.At the end of long days, (by the time I’m home from my 8 hour day and two hour commute) it’s still on but I could do with a serious touch up. If you’re someone who touches your face a lot this is not going to last on you. The foundation has a liquid texture that isn’t too watery but easy to blend and work with. Whether with a buffing brush, or a beauty sponge, the foundation is easy to work with, blend, and wears well on the skin. It lives up to its claim of not looking too cakey, nor mask-like.

I’m allll about dat glow, I like mixing in a liquid highlight with my moisturizer and putting more as an actual highlight, haha.I apply this with a damp sponge and it spreads very beautifully with a medium coverage. Not that I need a very full coverage but for school that's pretty much all you need.
