About this deal

Land Speeders of the Space Wolves Space Marine Chapter dropping from high cliffs to assault enemy forces Codex Adeptus Astartes - Dark Angels (7th Edition) (Digital Edition), "Ravenwing Vengeance Land Speeders", "Ravenwing Land Speeder Vengeance (Datasheet)", "Ravenwing Support Squadron (Formation)" Some weapons have ‘Blast’ listed in their profile’s abilities. These are referred to as Blast weapons. In addition to the normal rules, the following rules apply to Blast weapons: Land Speeders were introduced along with the other 1st Edition Warhammer 40,000 vehicles, the Rhino and the Land Raider. The first Land Speeder model was made entirely of metal. It looked more-or-less like two flying seats in front of two large turbines. The Space Marine crew were entirely exposed. Gladiator Reaper: A Tier: This is one of the best anti-infantry platforms we have access to. The combination of Twin-linked, Sustained Hits 2 (when targeting Infantry), and Devastating Wounds on its main gun is just nasty.

Inceptors: B Tier: These guys have the ability to get close to the enemy on their deep strikes, at the cost of being able to charge. Which is fine, because these guys would rather be shooting than fighting anyways. They can mess with your opponent's screening plans though. Aggressor Squad: B Tier: These guys are tough and with twin-linked on their fists can punch above their weight class, but you do pay for that utility. I don't think these are bad, but I'm not sure they're as good as terminators either. White Scars - The White Scars Space Marine Legion and Chapter have made heavy use of the Land Speeder since the days of the Great Crusade, and are responsible for at least one of its variants, the Land Speeder Tempest.

Final Thoughts

In line with the changes to the Land Speeder's profile in the Codex: Space Marines (3rd Edition), the weapons that were included in the kit were changed once more. The boxed set contained a Multi-melta and a Heavy Bolter, only one of which could be mounted onto the Speeder. Several variants were also released, using the same plastic model but including additional metal weaponry. The current design of the Land Speeder was introduced in 1998 for the 3rd Edition of the Warhammer 40,000 game. Unlike the previous models, this release was a completely plastic kit. The redesign of the Land Speeder made it appear sleeker. The pilots are almost entirely enclosed. Stabilizers and a spoiler were also added to make the vehicle look more aerodynamic. Ravenwing Darkshroud: A Tier: This unit will help keep some of your expensive stuff alive; very useful for bikes, particularly the more expensive ones like a Ravenwing Command Squad.

The Vengeance is rarely seen on the tabletop, so may provide a nasty surprise for an opponent that is not expecting it. This should allow you to get a turn or two of firing at prime enemy targets before it is taken out. Overall the Dark Angels have a wealth of options that they add to a fairly generic Gladius Task Force through their units. How to Score Points with Dark Angels
