About this deal

It’s very rare nowadays, and so is the price, but given the history that this bottle carries– it makes a priced possession to whiskey lovers, particularly JD fanatics. If you’re a beginner, you might get overwhelmed with its complexity and proof, but there’s no harm in trying. 6. White Rabbit Saloon Limited Edition Sour Mash It’s surprisingly great for a low-proof spirit– no watery elements, leaving a deep yet familiar profile. It’s a truly remarkable expression on the whiskey market. We find the tasting notes, character, and body excellently balanced. The vanilla and pepper notes, along with the cherry and maple syrup flavors, end on a warming yet bright finish.

We like the mildness of this whiskey in terms of complexity and flavor profile. It isn’t overly sweet. The toasted wood note on the finish highlights this whiskey, which will get you even more. 14. Tennessee Honey Besides, it has a nuance of flavors; citric, chocolate, dried fruit, and honey, with leather, molasses, tobacco, and vanilla notes. The leather then appears and adds more oaky and woody notes, culminating in a silken finish. 16. No. 27 Gold We highly suggest this to experienced drinkers accustomed to complex and spicy spirits. 21. Single Barrel Special Release Heritage Barrel The tasting notes are nice, giving a warm cornbread aroma, followed by vanilla, cinnamon, and nutmeg flavors on the palate. Why We Like It: The barrels used to craft this JD’s Rested Tennessee Rye is hand-selected meticulously. We’re not surprised as we get the vanilla, sweetgrass, and pancake batter hints. But we don’t expect the notes of vanilla ice cream on the palate. This flavored whiskey is an original recipe of JD and is finely crafted, which is evident in its character. 13. Sour Mash Legacy Edition Series

But we especially love the 2014 version due to its rich tasting notes that a truly single barrel can offer. It won’t stand out among the JD’s expressions, but it’s worth trying. 24. Master Distiller Series No. 1 – 6 Expressions like this are sought-after, especially by whiskey collectors. But apart from being a great collectible, it’s a nice sipping drink. But make sure not to forget this bottle, as it’s only a seasonal release. 28. Holiday Select (2011 – 2014) What’s interesting is the Cherry Coke notes at first, then soon turns into Cherry root beer, slowly fading towards a vaguely watery finish. The subtle layers of baking spice and caramel are nice, and we like the bright fruit notes with sweet aromatics– which is unique for a Tenessee whiskey. But don’t get JD wrong in this one, as there are slight differences in tasting notes bottle by bottle. 11. Single Barrel 2021 Special Release Coy Hill High Proof This isn’t your bold Tenessee whiskey, but its robust character is enough to impress fanatics and liquor drinkers.

From the 2011-2014 Holiday Select expressions, the toasted oak and baking spice notes are dominant. As expected, it has milk chocolate notes, with layers of vanilla wafers, banana chips, and Cherry Coke.

It is high-proof, with baking spices and caramel dominating the tasting notes. But there’s more beyond that.We deliver to a number of international destinations including the USA. Please use the 'Change Location' link above for an estimate in your local currency or find out more about international delivery The flavor profile is deep, as expected, but what we like the most is it’s not overwhelmed by the alcohol’s burn. Aside from the warmth this whiskey provides, we like its holiday spices (or winter pie spice, for some), including nutmeg, cinnamon, clove, ginger, and allspice. It is close to perfection; it’s just that the mild burn on the finish is a little off, and we find the oak and baking spices too intense and nuanced. We like how they pay homage to the master distillers who served the brand throughout the years, including:
